Flying in and want to ride out? Our motorbike rental Phuket airport delivery brings the bike to the terminal, or to your hotel in Nai Yang, Mai Khao or Sakhu, free of charge. Phuket International Airport (HKT) sits in Mai Khao, Thalang district, about 32 km north of Phuket Town, so the ride from our Old Town shop takes about 50 minutes; tell us your flight number and we will time it to your landing. Whether you searched for scooter rental Phuket airport or Phuket airport scooter hire, this is the page to read.
We do not hand over inside the terminal building. Walk out of the arrivals hall of your terminal (international and domestic are in separate buildings a short walk apart) and look for the public bus and Smart Bus stops in front of the arrivals exit; that stretch of kerb is our usual meeting point. Message us on WhatsApp when you have your bags and we will tell you exactly where the bike is parked.
Three things to have ready: passport, a Thai motorcycle licence or International Driving Permit (compulsory under Thai law and the first thing police ask for on Route 402), and the deposit. Payment is by cash, credit card or Alipay. Two helmets are included. If you have a large suitcase we will say so honestly: a scooter and a 25 kg bag do not mix, so send the luggage ahead by taxi and keep a backpack for the ride. The full step-by-step is in our guide to renting a scooter at Phuket airport.
The airport is surrounded by Sirinat National Park, which covers Nai Thon, Nai Yang, Mai Khao and Sai Kaeo beaches, so this is the flattest and greenest corner of the island. The airport access road joins Route 402 (Thepkrasattri Road), the four-lane highway that runs the length of Phuket down to town. It is fast and straight; stay in the left lane, watch for U-turn gaps, and expect police checkpoints around Thalang.
Nai Yang Beach is about 2 km from the terminal along a narrow beach road lined with restaurants under the casuarina trees. Mai Khao, the island's longest beach at around 11 km, runs north from the end of the runway; the road behind it is quiet but there is little shade and few shops, so carry water. Sakhu village, inland, has the local market and most of the guesthouses used by airline crews.
Distances are longer up here and you will spend time on the highway, so we only send bikes with real highway stability:

The village and beach closest to the airport, with small resorts along the park road. Hand-over at your hotel or at the beach road entrance.
Resorts spread along the long beach north of the runway, including the large hotels near the national park headquarters. Allow a few extra minutes for us to find the gate.
The inland village behind the airport with the local market and guesthouses.
Bang Tao is about 25 minutes south via Route 402 and Srisoonthorn Road, the usual next stop for Laguna guests. Phuket Old Town, where our shop is, is around 50 minutes straight down the highway.
The airport has paid car parks but no reserved motorbike area by arrivals, so for a return we meet you at the same kerb and take the bike back ourselves. In Nai Yang, park under the trees behind the restaurants rather than on the sand. Fuel: there are petrol stations on Route 402 near the airport turn-off; fill up before heading north to Mai Khao, where there is nothing for several kilometres.

Outside the arrivals exit of your terminal, by the public bus stops. Message us on WhatsApp once you have your bags and we will tell you where the bike is parked.
A backpack, yes. A large suitcase, no; send it to your hotel by taxi and ride with a day bag. We will tell you honestly if your luggage will not work on a scooter.
About 2 km, a five-minute ride along the national park road. Mai Khao is a little further north past the end of the runway.
We deliver within our opening hours, 10:00–19:00. For a late flight, book delivery to your hotel the next morning.

Scooter Rental Phuket Delivery: Free to Your Hotel
Yes. Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an International Driving Permit to ride a scooter in Phuket. What police check, how to get an IDP, and why riding without one is a bad deal.
