Our shop is in Phuket Old Town, so this is the one page where "delivery" mostly means walking in. If you want motorbike rental Phuket Old Town style, with a real counter and a person you can come back to, you will find us at 107 Phuket Road, Talat Yai, Mueang Phuket 83000, a few minutes on foot from Thalang Road. We are open 10:00–19:00 every day, walk-ins are welcome, and you can also contact us ahead to have a bike waiting.

Motorbike rental Phuket Old Town: walk in or we come to you

Most Old Town guests simply come to the shop. Bring your passport and your Thai motorcycle licence or International Driving Permit, choose a bike from the rack, pay by cash, credit card or Alipay, and ride out with two helmets. The whole thing takes ten minutes.

If you would rather not walk, we deliver anywhere in town for free, same as the rest of Phuket. Handy meeting points: the Thalang Road end near Soi Rommanee, the Lard Yai market entrance (not on Sunday evenings, see below), Central Phuket on the bypass road, Phuket Bus Terminal 2 if you are arriving by bus, or Rassada Pier if you are stepping off the Phi Phi ferry. Because the shop is right here, delivery inside town is usually under fifteen minutes.

Riding around Phuket Old Town

The historic core is only about 2.7 square kilometres, laid out in a grid of Sino-Portuguese shophouse streets: Thalang, Dibuk, Phang Nga, Krabi, Yaowarat, Rassada and Phuket Road itself. Several of them are one-way and the signs are small, so on your first loop follow the traffic rather than your map. Speeds are low, which makes town the easiest place on the island to get used to a scooter before heading for the coast.

One rule to remember: Thalang Road closes to all vehicles every Sunday from about 16:00 to 22:00 for the Lard Yai walking street. Side streets fill up fast, so if you are coming into town for the market, park on Phang Nga Road or further out and walk in. Outside the core, Phuket Road and the bypass road carry heavier traffic; use the inside lane and expect songthaews to stop without warning. Rang Hill on the west edge of town is a gentle climb that any of our bikes handles.

Best scooter for Phuket Old Town

  • Honda Click 125: the sensible town bike, light enough to thread through shophouse streets and park in half a space.
  • Honda Scoopy 110: the smallest bike we have, ideal for one person staying in town who mostly rides to cafés and markets.
  • Honda PCX 160: pick this if Old Town is your base for day trips to the beaches; it is the most comfortable on the bypass and the hill roads.

All rates are on the price table. If you want a ready-made ride, follow our Phuket Old Town by scooter one-day route.

Sub-areas we deliver to

Phuket Town

The wider city beyond the heritage grid, including the hotels around Central Phuket and the Ranong Road songthaew stand. This is where most "scooter rental Phuket Town" enquiries come from.

Talat Yai

The subdistrict our shop sits in; it covers the Old Town core and the streets south to the clock tower.

Rassada

North and east of the centre, taking in Phuket Bus Terminal 2 on Thepkrasattri Road and the road out to Rassada Pier, where ferries to Phi Phi and Krabi leave. We meet at the terminal forecourt or the pier car park.

Sam Kong

The residential area on the north-west edge near the big private hospital. A quick, flat ride to the shop.

Nearby areas

Kathu is the next district west on the road to Patong, about fifteen minutes away. Chalong is twenty minutes south on Chao Fa Road, and it is the turn-off for the Big Buddha and the pier.

Parking and fuel

Old Town has marked motorbike bays along most streets; look for the painted boxes and keep clear of red-and-white kerbs. On Sunday evenings the bays near Thalang Road are full by 17:00. Fuel is easy: there are petrol stations on Phuket Road heading south and along the bypass, and every bike leaves our shop with enough in the tank to reach one.
