Honda ADV 350 rental in Phuket: one bike for everything

A Honda ADV 350 rental in Phuket is the answer when you refuse to choose between a highway cruiser and a bike that can handle a dirt track. It is the newest machine in our fleet, a 2025 model with a 329.6 cc liquid-cooled engine, a 37 mm upside-down fork with 125 mm of travel, and 155 mm of ground clearance. In the morning it cruises over the Sarasin Bridge toward Khao Lak at highway speed; in the afternoon it rolls down the gravel lane to a beach the tour buses never reach.

Two-channel ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control manage the power on wet concrete and loose surfaces, and the four-level windscreen lets you set the airflow for the ring road or for a slow crawl through Old Town. On the tourist roads it is almost too easy: Patong Hill, the Kata–Karon viewpoint and the Big Buddha switchbacks need a flick of the wrist, even two-up. The under-seat box holds two helmets, and the 11.7-litre tank at roughly 28 km per litre gives about 300 km of range.

It is a 186 kg bike with a 795 mm seat, so as maxi scooter rentals in Phuket go, this one wants some experience and some height. Shorter riders usually prefer the Forza.

Who it suits, and who should choose something else

Experienced riders who want one bike for the whole trip, including unpaved lanes around Layan, Ao Sane or the back of Kamala, will be happiest here. If your riding stays on tarmac, the Honda Forza 350 has the same engine, a lower seat and an electric windscreen. If you want the adventure character without the weight, the Honda ADV 160 is the lighter sibling at a lower rate. For a month or more on the island, our guide to monthly scooter rental in Phuket explains how the long-stay rates work.

What's included

Two helmets and a phone holder are included, and delivery to any hotel, villa or the airport is free island-wide. The deposit is refundable on return. Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles; our guide to renting a scooter at Phuket Airport explains how to have the bike waiting when you land. The shop is open 10:00–19:00 daily; pay by cash, credit card or Alipay.

Best areas for the ADV 350

The ADV 350 makes most sense for guests around Bang Tao and Layan, where the quiet headland lanes are unpaved and the airport is a fast road away, and for Kamala, the start of the coast road and the track to Laem Sing.

Frequently asked questions

Forza 350 or ADV 350: which is better for Phuket?

Same engine, different character. The Forza is the lower, smoother highway cruiser with an electric windscreen; the ADV adds a long-travel upside-down fork, more ground clearance and a taller stance for broken roads and dirt lanes. Choose the ADV if unpaved tracks are on your list.

How tall do I need to be for the ADV 350?

The seat is 795 mm and the bike weighs 186 kg, so you want to get at least the balls of both feet down. Riders around 170 cm and up are usually comfortable; shorter riders tend to prefer the Forza with its 780 mm seat.

Can the ADV 350 handle dirt tracks?

Gravel, hard-packed dirt and broken concrete, yes, that is what the suspension is for. It is still a heavy scooter, so treat deep sand and steep single-track with respect.

Is the ADV 350 a good two-up bike?

Very. The long seat, upright position and strong engine make it an easy two-person bike for the ring road, the Sarasin Bridge and the west-coast hills.

Which licence do I need for the ADV 350?

Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles, the same as for any scooter in Thailand. Previous experience on a bike of this weight is strongly recommended.
