Most people who rent a scooter in Phuket never see our shop. They message us on WhatsApp, pick a bike, tell us which hotel they're in, and the next morning the scooter is parked at reception with two helmets on the seat. That's the whole model: scooter rental in Phuket delivered to your door, with no delivery fee, island-wide.
This guide explains how the delivery works step by step, which areas we cover, what to have ready at handover, and what to check before you ride off. Our shop is at 107 Phuket Road in Talat Yai, Phuket Old Town, open 10:00 to 19:00 every day, if you'd rather collect in person.
How scooter delivery works, step by step
1. Message us on WhatsApp
Send your dates, where you're staying, how many riders, and which bike you'd like. If you're not sure which model, say who's riding and where you'll go and we'll recommend one; our guide to choosing between 110, 125, 160 and 350cc is the long version. Rates for every bike are on the price page.
2. Agree a time
We confirm the bike and a delivery slot. Mornings are easiest; we'll give you a window and message when we're ten minutes out. If your flight lands late, we can do evenings up to closing.
3. Agree a meeting point
Hotel reception or the car park is normal. For villas, send the Google Maps pin. For the airport, the arrivals hall exit of your terminal. For a beach-road guesthouse in Patong with no parking, we'll find the nearest safe spot and tell you where.
4. Send your documents in advance
The handover goes fastest if you've already sent on WhatsApp: a photo of your home licence (motorcycle category), your International Driving Permit open at the motorcycle page, and your passport photo page. Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an IDP with your home licence; the Royal Thai Embassy says police will want to see the IDP, passport and national licence together. We check the originals at handover, but sending copies means we arrive with the contract already filled in. If you don't have a motorcycle licence, please read do you need a licence to rent a scooter in Phuket before booking; we can't deliver to a rider without one.
5. Deposit and payment
At handover we collect the refundable cash deposit (the amount per bike is on the price page) and payment for the rental by cash, credit card or Alipay. We never hold your passport; see renting without leaving your passport as deposit.
6. Handover check with photos
We walk around the bike together and photograph every panel, both wheels, mirrors, the exhaust and the dashboard showing mileage and fuel. The photos go to you on WhatsApp immediately. This is your protection as much as ours: at return, the deposit is checked against these pictures and nothing else.
7. Quick orientation and off you go
Where the fuel cap is, how the seat lock works, how to use the steering lock, which helmet strap is which. If it's your first time on a scooter in Thailand, we'll point you to the first-time riding checklist and show you the quiet lane to practise on before you hit the main road.
Where we deliver: all ten areas
Delivery is included everywhere on the island. Typical times from the shop, traffic permitting:

Airport pickups
Collecting a scooter at Phuket Airport (HKT, run by Airports of Thailand) is popular with riders who want to skip the taxi queue and start the holiday on two wheels. A few practical points:
- Send your flight number. We track it and meet you at the arrivals hall exit of your terminal; if you can't see us, message and we'll walk to you.
- Luggage. A cabin bag fits under the seat of a Honda PCX 160 (30 litres by Honda's spec) or between your feet on a Click. A large suitcase does not fit on any scooter. If you're travelling heavy, take a taxi to the hotel and we'll deliver there an hour later; no charge either way.
- The ride south. From the airport to Patong or Kata is 45–60 minutes on the main road, partly on the fast bypass. We recommend the PCX 160, NMAX 155 or ADV 160 for the airport run rather than the Scoopy. Full details in renting a scooter at Phuket Airport.
- Documents. Same as anywhere: licence plus IDP, passport copy, cash deposit. Have them in hand luggage, not checked.
Return and collection
Returning is the delivery in reverse. Message us the day before with a time and place: your hotel, the airport before your flight, or a different hotel if you've moved across the island. We meet you, compare the bike to the handover photos, check the fuel level matches, and hand the deposit back in cash on the spot.
For a departure-day return at the airport, allow us to meet you at the departures drop-off at least two and a half hours before your flight; AOT advises passengers to be at the airport two hours ahead, and we don't want you cutting that short.
What to check at handover
We do our checks, but you should do yours. Thirty seconds now saves a conversation later.
- Plate and tax sticker. GOV.UK warns that rented bikes in tourist areas are often unregistered and can't legally be used on the road. Ours carry a plate and a current tax disc; look for both.
- Compulsory insurance sticker (Por Ror Bor). On the bike. What it covers and doesn't is in scooter rental Phuket with insurance.
- Both helmets fit and the straps work. Thai law requires a helmet for rider and passenger; the police checkpoint guide explains the fines.
- Lights, horn, indicators, both brakes. Press and squeeze everything before you sign.
- Tyres. Look at the tread; Phuket roads are wet six months of the year.
- Fuel gauge and mileage are in the handover photos.
- Any existing scratch is in the photos. If you spot one we missed, say so and we add it.
- Your copy of the photos has arrived on WhatsApp before we leave.
Why we don't charge for delivery
Delivering the bike is how we see you, check your licence properly, and show you the bike in daylight at the place you'll be riding from. It costs us a staff member and a return trip, but it avoids the worst outcome in this business: a rider on the wrong bike, with the wrong paperwork, at the wrong end of the island. Including it in the price keeps the decision simple.
Want a scooter at your hotel tomorrow morning? Message us on WhatsApp through the contact page with your dates, hotel name, the bike you'd like and a photo of your licence, and we'll confirm the time.
