Rawai is the laid-back southern tip of Phuket: a working waterfront where longtail boats sit on the sand at low tide, seafood restaurants along Viset Road, and some of the island's best beaches a few minutes away at Nai Harn and Ya Nui. Our scooter rental Rawai delivery takes about 35 minutes from our Old Town shop via Chalong Circle, and it is free to anywhere in the area, from the pier to the villa estates on Saiyuan.
Message us with your villa or hotel name. If you are somewhere hard to find (Rawai has a lot of villas down unnamed lanes), pick a landmark: Rawai Seafood Market on the waterfront, the Nai Harn Beach car park, the Promthep Cape car park, or the Windmill Viewpoint turn-off. We bring the bike, you show your passport and a Thai motorcycle licence or International Driving Permit, pay the deposit by cash, credit card or Alipay, and ride away with two helmets.
Many Rawai customers rent for a month or more. Monthly rates are listed on the price table, and we can swap a bike mid-rental if your plans change. Rawai motorbike rental for long-stayers is a big part of what we do.
The roads here are the gentlest on the island. Viset Road runs flat along the waterfront past the pier and the seafood market, and the Saiyuan road inland is a long straight through villas and cafés. Rawai is spread out, so a bike is genuinely the only sensible way to get around; it is a few minutes to Nai Harn and about two kilometres to Promthep Cape.
The climbs are short and worth knowing. The access road to the Windmill Viewpoint between Nai Harn and Ya Nui is steep and narrow with very little parking at the top. The road up to Promthep Cape is wider and well surfaced. Both are busy at sunset, with cars reversing out of full car parks, so arrive early or expect to park on the verge. The route north to Kata goes over the Karon Viewpoint hill, which is a different proposition altogether and better on a 150cc-plus bike.
The beach and the villages around the lake and temple behind it. Scooter rental Nai Harn hand-overs happen at the beach car park or your villa gate.
The waterfront and the lanes behind Viset Road, including the long-stay apartments near the pier.
The handful of hotels and villas on the cape road. Hand-over at the cape car park if your lane is steep.
The inland strip of cafés, gyms and villa estates on the road between Rawai and Nai Harn.
Chalong is ten minutes north on Route 4024 and the route we use for delivery. Kata is over the Karon Viewpoint hill to the north-west.
Parking is easy almost everywhere in Rawai except the two viewpoints at sunset. Nai Harn Beach has a large car park with a motorbike section. Petrol stations sit on the Saiyuan road and on Viset Road towards Chalong, and villa estates often have a bottle shop at the gate for emergencies.

Rawai's waterfront is a working beach for longtail and speedboats, not a swimming beach. Nai Harn, a few minutes away by scooter, is the swimming beach, which is why a bike matters here.
Yes. Many Rawai customers rent for one to three months. Monthly rates are on the price table and we can swap the bike mid-rental if you need to.
It is short, steep and narrow with very little parking at the top. Any of our bikes manages it; just arrive before the sunset crowd.

Yes. Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an International Driving Permit to ride a scooter in Phuket. What police check, how to get an IDP, and why riding without one is a bad deal.
