Why a big scooter rental in Phuket makes sense
The island is bigger than it looks on the map, and a big scooter rental in Phuket turns the ring road, the airport run and the Sarasin Bridge into relaxed cruising rather than a wind-blasted endurance test. The Honda Forza 350 is our maxi scooter: a 329.57 cc liquid-cooled engine that holds highway speed with two adults aboard, a 180 mm electric windscreen that rises at the press of a button, and an under-seat box that swallows two helmets.
Phuket's hills disappear on this bike. Patong Hill, the Kata–Karon viewpoint and the Big Buddha climb are a gentle roll-on of throttle, and the stepped seat keeps your passenger planted on the descents. Honda fits two-channel ABS and Selectable Torque Control, which matter on a 185 kg machine when the afternoon rain arrives. The 11.7-litre tank at roughly 30 km per litre gives around 350 km, enough for a day trip to Phang Nga Bay or Khao Lak and back.
Where the Forza is less at home is the old-town grid. It rides through fine, but parking a maxi scooter on Thalang Road on a Sunday evening takes patience, and the 780 mm seat plus the weight means shorter riders should sit on it before booking a long rental.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
Riders who have done a big bike rental in Phuket before, tall riders who feel cramped on a 160, and couples planning trips off the island will love it. If you want the same engine with adventure suspension for rougher roads, the Honda ADV 350 is the sister bike. If 330 cc is more than you need and you would rather save, the Honda PCX 160 handles everything on the island itself. Our guide to scooter rental prices in Phuket for 2026 shows how the maxi tier compares with the 160s.
What's included
Two helmets and a phone holder are included, and delivery to any hotel, villa or the airport is free island-wide. The deposit is refundable on return. Thai law requires a Thai motorcycle licence or an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles, exactly as for our small scooters, and we recommend reading about renting a scooter in Phuket with insurance before taking a bike of this size. The shop is open 10:00–19:00 daily; pay by cash, credit card or Alipay.
Best areas for the Forza 350
We recommend the Forza first for scooter rental in Bang Tao, where the villas, Laguna and the airport are all a long, fast road apart, and for guests near Phuket Airport who plan to head north over the bridge.
